Microsoft Technologies in Daily Usage

Simple Practical Daily Problems and Solutions, ideas, and man more.

About This Blog, and me.

This blog is dedicated to all readers around the globe, especially who specialize on working with Microsoft Technologies : Windows Server, Exchange, Sharepoint and many more.

What you read are based on my experiene, and my knowledges... and, maybe, someday, i will posting some articles from my collagues, and my friends. So i hope, this will help us to work, design, and get more understanding about MS Technologies, and step-by step howto in installing / configuring / using MS produtcs.

This blog means no harm anyone, & i am not responsible for the bad effects that happened because of this blog. ( if any).

I am currently both student & IT Analyst @ Network Operations Center Maranatha Christian University, Bandung.  I joined NOC in 2000, as a junior network staff.  In 2002, i studied CCNA, and got certified in 2004, I also took MCP Certifications, and the last one on 2007, i got MCITP for Enterprise Windows Vista Support.

I and my collagues did the migration of Linux --> Windows 2000 based network in 2003, and Windows 2000 --> Windows 2003 network in 2007. Together we specialized in Windows based network configurations, altough i think there are still more to learn about.

When i still young, i learned from MSCE Benny Johannes, who was worked for SIDOLA, and now for iForte.  he taught me many things, and one thing i learned from him, was the character of sharing ideas and knowledges without hesitation or fear.

I think, it is important to us (System /Network Administrator /  Engineer) -- or IT Proffesinal, to understand the whole picture of the networks that we are / will work on -- The purpose, the scalabilty, the weakness, and the strength, and the possible threat the network will face on. As IT Pro, we should know & learn more about different technologies to reach further understanding & by doing so, we can always deliver THE BEST service to the customer (staffs, collagues, management).

@ Maranatha,  we use Windows Server, Exhange Server, ISA Server, and soon we will add Sharepoint Server, and also, Office Communication Server. Other than MS products, we use FreeBSD based OS, and of course, Linux. I have a vision that both MS technologies and Linux will work together better someday.
